Karenine.com is keen on presenting you fresh discoveries from the luxury world in regard to jewellery, yachting, travelling, watchmaking, haute couture and many other extravagant categories. You name it. We study them all.
In a world jam-packed with multiple brands and products, every now and then, we can easily find ourselves not knowing what to buy. Karenine is a guide you can rely on if style is a must-have for you:
- we evaluate numerous trends and recently launched products, and we give you an accurate point of view on whether that specific item suits you or not;
- we offer our input and advice to all of those who are yet pioneers in the luxury world.
Karenine holds the key to an essential shopping secret: how to buy a product or invest in a service guided by your instinct, without forgetting that, even though comfort and promotional offers sound enticing enough, culture and good taste are far more important?
Discovering such a world stimulates your dreams and desires. These are two of the factors that convinced us to develop this online magazine, a consumer guide meant to reveal you the ins and outs of the fine-fleur du luxe: yachting, exceptional cars, exquisite lifestyle and what not.
The authors and contributors of Karenine have relevant experience in their own field. They are working on topics they consider to be useful for our readers, and they regularly attend events open to the public or to professionals only. You are more than welcome to tell us your opinion in our Comments box, or you can also send us article ideas for publishing. We look forward to read them.
The name of our guide, Karenine, was inspired by the long-lasting relationship between luxury and Russia: Cartier was the Tsars’ official supplier in 1904; Veuve Cliquot’s attempt to soften Russia (according to Mérimee, 1853); the Baccarat and Nicolas II affair; the inspirational insights found by Gabrielle Chanel in the country. The list of brands that have flourished in the Slavic landscape are beyond number. Places such as Saint Petersburg and products like caviar are partly responsible for this legend.
Nonetheless, the famous character shaped by Tolstoy, Anna Karenina, is at the helm of this myth. The journey described in the novel remains an essential token for luxury itself, being a reservoir for passion and excesses of all sorts – a Slavic soul, as one might characterise it. However, we thought it was only natural to honour this history and personality, hence this website.
